Pujols Albert Or Is It Albert Pujols?
He’s built like a mac truck…strong and buff…he’s sexy and manly…he’s tanned and gorgeous…Aside from being the traditional role model, he’s also fast, strong, and an incredible baseball talent that’s worth putting your hard earned dinero on. No wonder the ladies everywhere are crushing on Mr. Albert Pujols.(Quick Note:ladies he’s happily taken…lol)
And aside from being an international sex symbol and member of the mens club everywhere, Pujols is a strong activist in the pursuit of equality amongst all people. In 2005, he and his wife Deidre launched the Pujols Family Foundation to fund research and support for Down Syndrome as well as for the support of the impoverished populations of the Dominican Republic.
Albert may not have begun his career until high school, but he has quickly moved up the ranks and proved that he can hang with the big cahunas and make them whimper too, in a very short amount of time. Albert has taken the quick rise to fame and the top of the game in stride with his life, always remembering that the family comes primero and everything else, even baseball, comes second.
Born Jose Alberto Pujols on the 16 January 1980, Albert was raised in a non-traditional but extremely supportive family unit. His father was in and out of his life throughout his childhood and his grandmother did most of the work in being both mom and dad.
Pujols started the game of baseball in high school and even from then on, he exhibited the makings of a phenomenom. By the end of his high school career, he had struck out only once, and even though the majority of pitchers had spent the past three years walking him, he still came out with a batting title worthy of the minor leagues.
Albert went on to play in college and in 1999, received his turn at the big leagues when the St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the draft for the developmental league. By 2001, Albert had proven himself primed for the majors and made the starting lineup for the season.
Between 2001 and 2007, Pujols Albert remained the leader in the Major Leagues in RBI, runs, total bases, and extra base hits and is also second in home runs and batting averages. He’s the only person since Ted Williams to begin his career with six even 100 RBI seasons, the youngest person to impact 250 home runs and the best major league player to impact 30 or more home runs every year in his phenomenal six seasons. Over time, Albert has also become excellent at handling a glove and won his prototypal Golden Glove award in 2006 for the defense he did over prototypal base.
Albert is married to Deidre Pujols and they have three children: Albert Jr., Sophia, and Isabella who was born with Down Syndrome and is the think for Albert’s and Diedre’s immense interest in supporting development research for the cure of the disease. In closing Pujols Albert is a very exciting player to watch and at 30 years old im pretty sure he is gonna bring the game to a whole new level. With opening day 2010 just a few weeks away, i cant wait to catch a glimpse of what Mr Pujols is going to bring to the table. Are the Carinals going to rise this year? I know one thing,as long as Pujols stays healthy the possibilities are endless.

Youth Baseball Hitting Drills
A lot of batters make the same common hitting mistakes when starting out. To become a better hitter you must overcome these mistakes, once you do so you will be an amazing batter. Below are some of the mistakes that batters make, we can provide you with youth baseball hitting drills to fix these mistakes.
* Stepping out of the plate or pulling off pitches – I’ve seen a lot of youth batters do this. The either back up from the plate or let their front side fly open when the pitch comes. Making them drop the bat to their side neglecting the whole reason they are at the plate in the first place.
* Upper Cutting the Pitch – Also known as the “Upper Cut Swing”. This can occur when the swinger drops their hands or the back leg collapse; both of these can cause the hitter to swing upward at the pitch.
By identifying some of these mistakes you can greatly improve baseball hitting. The faster that you improve on these mistakes with our youth baseball batting drills, the sooner you will be able to raise your hitting average.
Youth Baseball Swinging Drills
A few youth baseball hitting drills that you may use to fix some of these mistakes are:
• Stepping Out Of The Plate – Which can be corrected by having the swinger move his front heel slightly closer to the plate the usual. You may also try a method I do with the soft toss which is “step in and hit” if you have the swinger repeat this method with his hitting routine you will see improvement.
• Upper Cutting the Pitch – May be resolved by making sure the swinger keeps his hand at the very top of the strike zone. Also make sure the batter does not dip their back side shoulder or drop their hands during the swing.
Here are some of the youth baseball hitting drills which you can implement to improve baseball hitting. There are also other drills available that you can try. Do you want to try these other youth baseball hitting drills? If so you can visit my site at www.baseball-hitting-drills.info
* Here is a BONUS drill you can try.
The Colored Ball Drill
The purpose of this drill is to improve reaction time and thinking at the plate.
Paint several baseballs with different bright colors, and place them in a bucket behind the mound. Have someone place one of the balls in the pitcher’s glove without letting the batter see the color. The pitcher then calls out a color before pitching the ball. The batter can only swing if the ball matches the color the pitcher called out (and if the pitch is in the strike zone).
